RACE FORMAT
TEAM DUATHLON
Teams of 2 or more riders can ride or run together! There is no limit on the size of a team. There is no limit to the amount of riders who can be on course at once. This is NOT a "relay" format event, but a team experience where you can race with your friends. Every person on the team will have their own timing chip and are still eligible for individual awards.
TEAM RELAY
Teams of 2 or more riders can take turns to complete the most amount of laps as possible. There is no limit on the size of a team. Team members will hand off the timing chip in pit lane as frequently as they'd like. This is a great option for those not wanting to go the whole night and/or want to be competitive!
Teams will have the option in 2021 to reserve their team tent location in Pit Lane during registration. Teams can choose between 15ft spaces with power access for $10 or 10ft spaces for $5. This is an optional add-on.

RUNNING AND RIDING AT NIGHT
All athletes are required to have a working headlight and taillight on their bike at all times while riding. The track is partially illuminated with light towers, but we still do require lights on your bike as some sections are more lit up than others. A charging station and additional lights will be available for purchase in the paddock area.

INCLUSION LAP
All riders will complete the first lap together as a kick off the event. This inclusion lap is led out by myTEAM TRIUMPH Captains and athletes with disabilities. Think of this as our "pace lap" for the start of the race! Timing and Scoring does not start until after the inclusion lap.

CHALLENGES
The King / Queen of the Mountain is a fun challenge on course that pushes riders to give it their all and see how quickly they can get up the front stretch hill after turn 14. Timing data points are located at the bottom and top section of the hill top capture riders as the enter and exit the challenge section.
The Speed Challenge is all about SPEED and how fast you can go on the back stretch of the course before turn 5. This is a flat and fast section the really lets you drop the hammer and crank it up. Timing data points are located at the start and finish of the speed section capture riders as the enter and exit the challenge.
The Distance Challenge rewards the top rider in the entire event who has completed the most amount of laps in the allotted amount of time. This is sort of our "winner" of the event. Each lap is a complete circuit from the start line to the finish line. Timing chips are used to collect lap data and count your laps as you bike through the night!
